Welcome to my website!

My name is Curtis Israel and I am a software engineer living in the Greater St. Louis region.

This website now exists for a few reasons:

1. I wanted a place to act as more of a central hub for my online presence where I can link out to various other websites as needed (video game streaming on Youtube, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
2. My interest in writing has increased over the years as a way of expressing my thoughts, but also because I think it is important to have a place to re-visit these thoughts later to see how my interests and thoughts have changed over time.
3. Politcs is now occupying a larger focus in my life in particular, and I felt the need to have a place to offer my voice to counteract others who I feel are engaging dishonestly/disingenously.
4. As someone in the tech field, I feel somewhat of an obligation to have a digital home that is more under my control (although this website was designed by a friend of mine, Nick Hilbert).

I expect to write on a few topics here primarily:

• Politics (USA, Missouri, local)
• Technology (computing, gaming)
• Education (improvements, trends)
• Entertainment (various, but specifically on retro media more from my youth for nostalgia purposes)

To all those who find your way here, I hope you find something either entertaining, informative, or maybe a mix of both.
